Legal Assistant / Executive Assistant (Hybrid)
Location: Tampa, FL (Remote + In-Office near Downtown Tampa, FL)
Position Type: Part-Time (with opportunity to grow into full-time)
About the Opportunity
A busy solo litigation attorney in Tampa is seeking an exceptional Legal Assistant to serve as a trusted right hand in both legal operations and executive-level support.
In addition to managing an active litigation practice, the attorney is deeply involved in leadership within the Florida Bar, requiring frequent travel and high-level professional engagement. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain meaningful exposure to both the practice of law and the broader legal community.

Core Responsibilities
Legal Operations & Practice Support

Maintain and manage highly confidential client files (digital and physical)

Assist with preparation, formatting, and organization of legal documents

Oversee calendar management, including litigation deadlines and scheduling coordination

Serve as a professional point of contact for clients and colleagues
Executive & Strategic Support

Manage a complex and evolving calendar, including meetings, events, and professional commitments

Coordinate comprehensive travel logistics (flights, accommodations, itineraries, and schedule alignment) to support frequent travel related to Florida Bar leadership roles

Anticipate scheduling conflicts and proactively create solutions to ensure seamless execution of commitments
Operational & Personal Support (High-Trust Responsibilities)

Run errands and handle day-to-day logistical tasks that support the efficient operation of the practice

Assist with both professional and occasional personal tasks that directly enable the attorney to remain focused on client work and revenue-generating activities

Help maintain an organized, efficient, and well-functioning office environment

Approach all responsibilities—administrative, operational, or personal—with professionalism and a solutions-oriented mindset
Qualifications

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability

Strong interpersonal skills with a polished, professional presence

High level of discretion in handling confidential information

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, and OneDrive

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage competing priorities with efficiency and sound judgment

Experience coordinating detailed travel and managing complex schedules preferred

Self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong sense of ownership

Compensation & Growth

Hourly Rate: $25 – $35+ per hour, depending on experience and demonstrated ability
